Halloween is known as a festival of scary monsters, ‘trick or treat’ events, costume parties, people going wacky all around masqueraded as spooky monsters. It is the ultimate level of fun for both kids and adults alike. We can humorously call it as the counter-balancing festival of Christmas; it is gaining a lot of popularity recently.

The birth of Halloween is a debated topic; historians have different opinions when it comes to the origin of this great festival. Some say it has been originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain while others say it has a Christian background. It is believed to be the day to remember dead saints. Some fewer people believe the festival is a modern version of the Mexican ‘Day of the Dead’ celebrations. Noone cares about its origin as long as it is fun to go crazy once a year.

People are addicted to the fun part of Halloween. The pumpkins, the dressing up, the wild parties, chocolates and the list goes on. It is one of the festivals that address all age groups, unlike many other festivals. The fun of dressing up, going with friends at night, and getting all chocolates are the fun-part for kids. Big costume parties, fun boozy games and a night to escape the painful realities and fly like a teenager opportunity is for adults and the older generation. October 31st is a fun night all around the world.

The real fun of Halloween is the spooky and scary costumes for all age group. You can masquerade as literally anything scary and weird in the whole world. It is easy to find a matching outfit, but the hard part is to find the right makeup. Makeup can go sideways and spoil the entire thing very fast. It is not fun to dress poorly in a costume party. People think of you as a cheap lad, and the fun of the festival night can move its way to embarrassment. It is always better to get professional support, but the problem is that since everyone is dressing up, the makeup artists will be prebooked and the chances of getting someone is not easy. The best part is you can learn it on your own; there are a lot of single-day workshops available.

Due to COVID-19 this year was not as fun as in previous years. Since we are at the end of 2020, we can hope 2021 October will be much brighter and the Halloween night will be crazy, wacky, and funny. The one day escape from all orderliness and status quo. The fun and adventure of Halloween may rise to its past glory for the undying teenager in us.
